Marshawn Lynch is in news because of signing a 4-year contract yesterday night. It is reported that the Seahawks’ bulldozing, candy-loving running back signed a four-year contract that will keep him in a Seattle Uniform for the prime of his NFL career and coming off his finest season.
The move less than 24 hours before the deadline for teams to use the franchise tag was announced by Seattle and moreover, Lynch would have been more than $7 million dollar for one season, in case if Seattle used the tag on him.
The terms of the deal weren’t officially announced. However, one of the persons told The Associated Press that Lynch’s contract is worth $31 million, including $18 million guaranteed. The person spoke on the condition of anonymity because terms of the deal were not officially announced.
John Schneider, Seahawks General Manager said, “We are excited to keep Marshawn as part of what we are building. This is what we were hoping for when we acquired him from Buffalo.”
