Doc Watson, the Grammy winning folk musician is now enjoying good health by regaining some strength after experiencing Colon Surgery. He was admitted at North Carolina Hospital for treatment.
On talking about this, the agent of Folklore Productions, Mitch Greenhill said in a statement in an e-mail that Watson is resting and responsive following the surgery on Thursday at Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem.
Till Friday afternoon, Watson remained in critical condition, a hospital spokesman told.
Doc Watson is a well-known blind singer as well as guitarist who has won several Grammys, including a lifetime achievement award. He also received the National Medal of the Arts. He is also known as a master of the flatpicking style of guitar playing.
